Institute For Strategic Studies and Prognoses (ISSP) is the first independent institute in Montenegro, established in 1999 with support from USAID.

Mission: "Research that will contribute to the development of a new economic system and Montenegrin economic thinking".

Objectives: Organization of research work, prognose of future economic development and advocacy work according to the following :

  • market principles
  • open economy
  • rule of law
  • transparency
  • networking

ISSP involves young people in its research and is a member of the Global Development Network.

Activities: Main activities of ISSP are:

  • collection of the existing published data
  • collection of the relevant existing not published data
  • surveys
  • analyze of the data
  • publishing
  • organization of round tables, debating groups and press conferences
  • cooperation with international institutions

  • Macroeconomic reforms in Montenegro
  • Privatization in Montenegro
    - Monetary Reform
    - Capital Market Development
    - Fiscal Reform
    - Reform of the Pension System
    - Introduction of the SNA system
